Senior Management
Heads of departments are as follows: -
Head of Trading (Chief Dealer): Headed by Eva Njuguna who took charge of the dealing department at SIB in 2008 and has been part of the successful growth in volume and market share in equities trading since. At Sterling, Eva is responsible for the day to day execution of orders at the trading floor, for establishing working relationships with investors, and for ensuring smooth co-operation between the back office and the trading desk. Eva has a BSc. Mathematical Statistics and an M.A. She also has a Certificate from the Securities Industry Training Institute, East Africa (SITI) in Portfolio Management.

Head - Fixed Income Trading: Headed by Peter Mwirigi who has extensive experience in debt placement and secondary bond trading. He previously worked with Dyer and Blair Investment Bank for three years and was involved in the following bond issues; Sasini 5-yr Medium Term Note, CfC-Stanbic, Mabati Rolling Mills 5-year note, Shelter Afrique 3-year note and Kengen PIBO.
He holds an MBA in Finance and Bachelors in Commerce (Accounting Option) as well as CFA1

Finance Department: Headed by Nancy Noreh. She joined SIB in 2006. She also overlooks administration and Human resource in the company. She holds a BA – Economics and ACCA, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Finance at the Strathmore University.

Operations & IT Department: Headed by Johnstone Mwombe. He joined SIB in 2006 and is in-charge with ensuring system transaction updates, trade verification and confirmation and IT system maintenance and development. He has been instrumental in the harmonization of back-office operations.
He graduated with a BSC (Mathematics) and is currently pursuing a Masters in Information Systems at the Strathmore University.

Front Office Department: Benson overseas the smooth coordination between the walk in clients and the dealing room. He has displayed an instinct for customer service right from when he joined Sterling in 2005. He studied at the University of Nairobi and graduated with a B.A. (Mathematics and Communication), a Diploma in International Relations and Diplomacy and a Certificate in Information Technology.

Corporate Finance and Advisory: Lina Ng'inja oversees corporate advisory functions. Lina has previously worked at Barclays Bank of Kenya where she gained knowledge on the retail banking industry. She graduated from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa: Bachelor of Commerce, Finance Option (Hons). She is currently a CFA Level 1 Candidate and is ATS certified by the Nairobi Securities exchange. She is instrumental to the formation and structuring of the corporate finance desk.
