AccessKenya makes an acquisition - February 2009
Listed Internet service provider, Access Kenya, has entered the SME market through the acquisition of Satori Solutions - a mid-sized Internet firm primarily serving small office and home customers. As part of the transaction, Access Kenya will take over the provision of service, and the management of approximately 125 of the firm's clients, together with some of its assets. Furthermore, the management of Satori has signed an agreement where they will become one of Access Kenya's dealers in promoting the sale of the group's new service focused on the small and home office market.
"The first part of the agreement deals with the migration of approximately 125 customers who will join our existing customers and enjoy a full service level agreement on their Internet connection," said Kris Senanu, Access Kenya managing director during the signing ceremony in Nairobi yesterday.

In the acquisition, Satori staff will be retained to complement the Access Kenya team in promoting the new product that targets to reach a client base of 800 before the end of 2009.
